Souvent des citadins, voir des ultra urbains qui viennent de grandes villes aux Etats Unis ( New york) (Colorado), Espagne (Barcelone), Italie (Turin), Allemagne (Berlin), Israel ( Tel-Aviv), France ( Bordeaux/ Paris/ Le Teich/ Poitiers). Il ont entre 18 et 62 ans, ce qui est aussi riche en terme de partage intergénérationnel…

Florence ha sido una gran anfitriona! Disfruté mucho del equilibrio entre el trabajo y el tiempo libre. Me encantó La Réole! Poder descubrir los alrededores con bicicleta fue increíble. La compañía de Florence y las otras chicas que estaban haciendo también el workaway fue muy buena, tuvimos conversaciones geniales de las que aprendí mucho y me encantó hacer actividades juntas cómo pasear por el pueblo, ir a nadar al río… Gracias Florence por tu amabilidad! 100% recomendable:)

J’ai passé un merveilleux moment avec Florence. Durant ma semaine passée avec elle, les activités étaient nombreuses : j’ai pu explorer son jardin, préparer plein de confitures et de compotes, déplacer des pierres et du bois, vivre en pleine conscience tout au long de la journée et même faire un peu de yoga.
Nous étions quatre au total, et le groupe a eu des échanges passionnants. Nous avons cuisiné ensemble, réfléchi, ri et partagé des idées.
La Réole est une jolie petite ville au bord de la rivière, qui propose de nombreuses activités culturelles en été. Je vous recommande vivement une visite avec Florence!

Thank you for these two vibrant weeks, balanced between work and leisure.
Each morning, we kept ourselves busy with various tasks: managing bulky waste, cutting and sawing bamboo, setting up rainwater collectors, pruning trees, making jams and compotes, leveling the terrace, applying coating to wooden furniture, moving and stacking firewood, watering plants, cleaning the forest…
Then, in the afternoons, came lighter moments: guided tours of the town La Reole with the castle, or a trip to Bordeaux, yoga sessions, night singing in the cocoon, swims at the municipal pool or the neighbor’s, movie nights, dives into the Garonne, lap steel concerts, and other delights.
On top of that were the wonderful encounters — with woofers from Europe and beyond (Germany, Italy, or Israel), and with the friendships woven around Florence, together with Celys, Caro, Ayssan, Aurélie, Valérie, Stéphanie, Gladys, Alexandro, Céline, Ivanha, Nehta, …
Thus, between sweat (sometimes intense on days above 40°C), shared moments, and laughter, this place-in-the-making is being woven with humanity and respect, like a garden where every encounter is a seed sown.

We stayed with Florence and Gladys for one week in the private room at EcolieuEntre2Terres. They are very welcoming and hospitable, going so far as to install a mosquito net for us over our bed after we experienced one sleepless night! We mainly worked with Florence, who is very flexible and made sure we were doing things we were interested in.
We ended up doing a variety of odd jobs around the little homestead, from caring for the vegetable garden to harvesting fresh prunes and figs to helping plan an excavation site for a new system to water the young trees in the garden with the gray water from the kitchen sink and shower. We tore the walls off an old barn, and in turn, installed the roof on a new garage.
We got to meet several delightful characters during our stay at the Ecolieu, from Florence’s mother to some other local WWOOFers from Bordeaux to the neighbor’s sheep dogs, as well as some community members in the small but charming town of La Réole, only 15 minutes by foot.
Above all, we learned and practiced Florence’s system of permaculture, which focuses on the health and sustainability of the humans and the household as well as its environment. The house chores, like cooking, cleaning, and emptying the dry toilet, were equitably divided among the house members.
We started the mornings with yoga and stretching, and communicated our attitudes and feelings each day. Thank you so much for hosting us, Florence!

Bonjour, Florence est une belle personne ,son projet est beau avec une multit ude d évolution possible .
Un lieu de partage à découvrir actuellement en cour de développement et à re-découvrir , j y repasserai sûrement .
